I have to admit that it’s weird to look back at my previous post about the writing on the wall and see that I called Tim Russert a Beltway wonk now that he passed away. Not that he wasn’t (entirely) a wonk, but it’s a bit strange in the wake of all that.

When even a Beltway wonk like Tim Russert can see things this clearly, it’s time to hang ‘em up and put ‘em out to pasture because the writing is on the wall and it’s so big that it can’t be ignored.
